SPIRITUALITY!

Class: YEAR 4 & 5 - MR O'NEILL Year: 2025 - 2026

In our thoughts and discussions about spirituality, our class considered the meaning behind the Japanese Art, Kintsugi: mending ceramics with ‘golden glue’. We were inspired by the metaphorical interpretation of this: unique, individual pots being like us as unique individuals made by the ‘potter’, God.

The cracks filled with gold symbolise the personal ‘ows, wows and nows’ on life’s journey and represent how these moments offer the possibility of adding significance and value to our lives in a way that can make us even more differently beautiful.
